Larry Blovits teaches Fundamentals: Their Application and
Function in Painting Landscapes
Reinforce your knowledge and technical aptitude in the basic fundamentals of
drawing and design as applied to the painting statement. This workshop covers
topics such as controlling light, creating a plane or a volume, creating depth in the
picture plane, mixing and controlling color, identifying underlying basic forms, and
more. The lectures and demonstrations will concentrate on the individual areas
observed in participants’ work. In addition, each student will receive daily personal
assistance. The workshop is open to beginners through advanced and the mediums of
oil, pastel, or watercolor. View materials list here.
August 16-18, 2013. 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm daily.
Workshop fee: $225
